Auf der Ranch der Hunderettungsstation hat sich ein riesiger Bienenschwarm eingenistet. Da die stechenden Insekten zur Gefahr für Menschen und Tiere im „Villalobos Rescue Center“ werden könnten, muss das Bienenvolk fachmännisch entfernt werden. Allerdings stapeln sich bei der NGO die Rechnungen, sodass Mariah eine kreative Fundraising-Aktion ins Leben ruft, um die Bienen-Umsiedelung zu finanzieren.
Derweil bekommen es Mitarbeiter Armando und Chefin Tia mit dem Mutterinstinkt einer Pitbull-Hündin zu tun, die ihre 7 Welpen um jeden Preis beschützt.

Hier finden bis zu 200 Pitbulls Platz - eine Hunderasse, die oft zu unrecht in ein schlechtes Licht gerückt wird. Auch Tias Töchter leben und arbeiten in der Hunderettungsstation, deren Hauptziel es ist, die Vierbeiner wieder an ein neues Zuhause zu vermitteln. Zudem bekommen bei Chefin Tia auch schwere Jungs eine zweite Chance: Die Ex-Knackis und Bewährungshäftlinge unterstützen das Projekt und finden dadurch nicht nur einen Job, sondern auch einen Weg zurück in die Gesellschaft.
